Nate Downs

Assistant Yard Superintendent

Since joining GLY in 2010, Nate has been a valuable member of our Tool + Equipment Yard team, playing an integral role in the smooth operation of our projects. In addition to his supervisory duties, Nate also supports projects through GPR scanning services. Outside of work, Nate enjoys spending time with his wife and two adult children. He is passionate about all types of outdoor activities, particularly those shared with his family.

Cassie Withrow

Executive Administrator+Administrative Services Manager

Excellent customer service comes naturally to Cassie, who approaches every task with a can-do attitude. As Executive Administrator, she enjoys working with people that encourage her and test her limits but allow her to have fun along the way. She manages her time—and many others’—with extraordinary ease and keeps things running like a well-oiled machine. Outside the office, you’ll find Cassie hiking, exploring the city, and when the sun comes out, boating on Lake Washington—all with her husband and pups by her side.

Tim Grant

Principal

P.E.

Tim spent the first part of his career as a professional structural engineer before arriving at GLY in 2011. He's since completed projects in an array of markets, from healthcare to hospitality, and a long list of high tech corporate campus facilities. On his current project, the University District Station Building, Tim and team are building a 13-story office tower atop Sound Transit's light rail station at NE 45th St and Brooklyn Ave. A former member of the UW track team, Tim traded in his running shoes for hiking boots, and enjoys exploring PNW trails with his wife and two sons.

Michelle Connor

Business Equity Specialist

Since joining GLY in 2019 as a Project Coordinator, Michelle steadily assumed more and more responsibilities, eventually combining her personal interest in DEI with our clients' goals for trade equity. Naturally she signed up for our corporate DEI Committee, where she continues to make a valuable impact. As our Business Equity Specialist, Michelle provides project team guidance and support to achieve MWSBE and apprenticeship utilization goals, develops community engagement initiatives, and maintains ongoing community and industry involvement to deepen relationships within the public sector and ensure current knowledge of local, state, and federal regulation for adhering to contract requirements. When she’s not busy chasing her turbo-charged toddler, she’s dreaming up new book club picks that will either dazzle her coworkers or make them question her taste in literature.

Anita Phonexayphova

Senior Design Engineer

Anita began her career in architecture and has since migrated to the construction world where she enjoys collaborating with design teams and subcontractors to work through constructability issues while achieving design intent. She employs advanced technologies throughout a project’s lifecycle from early design estimates to virtual project handover and closeout. Anita also supports our project teams by coordinating MEP and running clash detection.

Kyle Morgan

Kyle joined the GLY team immediately after earning a BS in Construction Management from the University of Washington in 2006. His honesty and affability have been a mainstay, and he takes a forthright approach to resolving issues and ensuring client satisfaction. After all these years, he still looks forward the unique challenges that come with each individual project and appreciates that no two days are ever alike. While things keep him on his toes at the jobsite, Kyle unwinds by listening to his favorite CDs and records or going to live concerts. Music just sounds better when it’s an experience!

Demetrios Stamatakis

Senior Project Engineer

Known for his unwavering ability to always follow through, Demetrious is motivated by a determination to deliver the best end result to clients. As a Senior Project Engineer, he is organized, proactive, and committed, and finds great reward in his ability to solve the daily challenges that this industry brings. Outside of work he is equally as driven. As a second-generation Greek American, Demetrious has been heavily involved in the Greek church and Greek Language School. He has backpacked across Asia, hiked the Pacific Crest Trail, and, when he's not busy with the responsibilities of parenthood, enjoys rock climbing, hiking, and skiing throughout the Pacific Northwest.

Sean Royal

Project Engineer

Sean recently joined GLY after completing two internships which gave him firsthand experience on high-stakes projects in the construction industry. With a degree in Construction Engineering Technology, he brings a solid foundation of technical knowledge and hands-on experience to his role as Project Engineer. In this capacity, he handles key responsibilities in trade management, overseeing work scopes, ensuring quality and safety compliance, and supporting project scheduling and budgeting. A Kirkland native, Sean enjoys spending his free time on Lake Washington, hitting the golf course, or experimenting with new recipes in the kitchen.
