Luke McArthur

Assistant Superintendent

Luke brings a diverse construction background that spans structural and civil project management, hands-on carpentry, and a passion for design and constructability. As Assistant Superintendent, he enjoys tackling challenges, improving processes, and helping teams deliver successful projects from start to finish. A U.S. Navy veteran, Luke enjoys archery hunting, snowboarding with his sons, paddleboarding, camping, and spontaneous weekend getaways with his wife.

Bringing a personable and bubbly attitude to project teams, Caitlin has no trouble connecting with any kind of client, owner, or architect. She finds the variability of a Project Engineer’s day-to-day to be fascinating and especially values her time on site which gives her a visual understanding of her work and the project as a whole. Driven by the same sense of curiosity and adventure outside of work, Caitlin stays very active with a variety of hobbies. When she is not trail running, skiing, or climbing, you’ll find her sewing winter adventure hats and hanging out with friends.

With 20 years of experience in the construction industry under his belt, Greg appreciates and understands the vital role of Project Engineer [PE]. Today, as PE Operations Manager, he leads the charge in setting Project Engineers up for success—focusing on development, growth, and establishing mentorships. Greg’s ability to recognize and appreciate diversity in personalities and skills among the group helps cultivate a learning environment that leaves plenty of room for exploration and innovation. Outside of work, Greg's go-to pastimes include mountain biking, fly fishing, and cooking for family and friends.

Anita Phonexayphova

Anita began her career in architecture and has since migrated to the construction world where she enjoys collaborating with design teams and subcontractors to work through constructability issues while achieving design intent. She employs advanced technologies throughout a project’s lifecycle from early design estimates to virtual project handover and closeout. Anita also supports our project teams by coordinating MEP and running clash detection.

Sean Royal

Project Engineer

Sean recently joined GLY after completing two internships which gave him firsthand experience on high-stakes projects in the construction industry. With a degree in Construction Engineering Technology, he brings a solid foundation of technical knowledge and hands-on experience to his role as Project Engineer. In this capacity, he handles key responsibilities in trade management, overseeing work scopes, ensuring quality and safety compliance, and supporting project scheduling and budgeting. A Kirkland native, Sean enjoys spending his free time on Lake Washington, hitting the golf course, or experimenting with new recipes in the kitchen.

Garrick Hughes

Since joining GLY in 2007, Garrick’s led construction to support the growth of multiple prominent tech companies, as well as high rise build outs and boutique historic re-developments. Managing complex projects and working with a wide spectrum of people and multi-disciplinary firms to meet client commitments and expectations set years in advance of project completion continues to be the focus of his career. Garrick holds an MBA in Finance from Seattle University as well as a BS in Construction Management from WSU, and a Commercial Real Estate Certificate from UW. He became a firm partner in 2019. A Northwest Native, Garrick’s involved in several local community and professional organizations, and never misses an opportunity for an outdoor adventure, exploring mountains with his wife, two daughters, and son.

With over 13 years of experience in construction—much of it focused on healthcare—Jon brings a practical, solutions-driven mindset to every project. Known for his strong work ethic and passion for building both on and off the job site, he combines technical expertise in civil and project engineering with hands-on know-how. Jon excels at resolving complex construction challenges, aligning design intent with client expectations, and keeping projects on schedule and within budget. His deep understanding of the unique demands of healthcare construction adds value at every phase. Outside of work, Jon channels that same problem‑solving mindset into DIY projects with his wife, son, and daughter, and enjoys staying active through skiing and hiking.
