Cement Mason Superintendent

Dennis is the go-to guy on anything and everything concrete. At age 15, he poured and finished driveways, patios, and shop slabs. When he started at GLY at 18, he was the youngest journeyman in his union. Today, he's a concrete master who oversees projects up to one million square feet. His favorite aspect of the job is the constant change of scenery since he's not on one single project for an extensive amount of time. While concrete is a big part of Dennis’s life, he makes plenty of room for his kids, fishing, hiking, and visiting Kauai, his happy place.

Joaquin Aburto

General Foreman

Joaquin approaches each day on the jobsite with a people-first attitude, emphasizing the importance of a collaborative team culture in finding efficient solutions and creating a learning environment for everyone. One of his favorite aspects of construction is that he leaves each workday having learned something new from his teammates. When he’s not out in the field, you can find Joaquin adventuring in the PNW with his 5 kids.

Mike joined GLY in 2013 as a Project Engineer and has steadily increased his responsibilities, becoming a Project Manager in 2020. He holds a BS in Construction Management from the University of Washington, where he later returned to earn a Commercial Real Estate Certificate. That’s just one example of Mike’s passion for continuous learning—and sharing with his teammates. He’s especially versed in the latest developments in 3D modeling and navigating the complex processes of advanced BIM visualization. After a long week at work, Mike burns off steam by running, cycling, and skiing.

Cesar Torres

CFO

As a natural strategist with an adept financial insight, Cesar contributes immensely to the long-term success and profitability of GLY. As our CFO, Cesar oversees all accounting, financial reporting, and risk management functions. He partners closely with executive and operational leadership to drive financial performance, support strategic growth initiatives, and ensure strong fiscal stewardship across the organization.

Cesar spent more than 25 years in the construction industry before joining GLY, and values working in an industry that builds tangible, lasting structures. Outside the office, he is deeply family oriented–no small feat with more than 100 first cousins! Cesar spends much of his free time visiting family, playing sports with his kids, and volunteering within his community.

Laura Ovsak

Laura joined the GLY team in 2017 after spending five years with architecture and engineering design teams. Her varied design experience provides a deep understanding of the design process, and a fluency in the design language. Having worn many hats at GLY, she has developed a diverse skillset, carrying many projects through their phases. Laura recently completed the process of becoming a licensed architect!

Caitlin Eckert

Bringing a personable and bubbly attitude to project teams, Caitlin has no trouble connecting with any kind of client, owner, or architect. She finds the variability of a Project Engineer’s day-to-day to be fascinating and especially values her time on site which gives her a visual understanding of her work and the project as a whole. Driven by the same sense of curiosity and adventure outside of work, Caitlin stays very active with a variety of hobbies. When she is not trail running, skiing, or climbing, you’ll find her sewing winter adventure hats and hanging out with friends.
