Garrick’s career at GLY has mirrored the growth of the tech industry. You could say South Lake Union has become his second home—he’s helped manage multiple phases of the growing Amazon.com campus. Bringing an intellectual approach to leadership, Garrick is known for his dedication to pushing on tired conventions of the industry, collaborating with others to create new ways to improve efficiency, eliminate waste, and reduce cost. A Northwest Native, he’s involved in several local community and professional organizations, and never misses an opportunity for an outdoor adventure, exploring mountains with his wife, two daughters, and son.
Project Engineer
Born and raised in Mercer Island and a graduate of University of Washington, Lauren is truly a local and proud to call Seattle her home. After earning her BS in Construction Management, she immediately joined GLY to do what she loves most: build! Focused and confident, Lauren never misses a beat even during the busiest phases of a project. Her keen eye for detail also never waivers, but this comes naturally to her. It is no surprise that her first job was performing quality control checks at a pear orchard.

With over 25 years of experience, Tyler delivers some of GLY’s most complex projects. His background in engineering, a number of certifications, ongoing industry education, and a full spectrum of market sectors on his resume bring a blend of professional knowledge and building capabilities that are ideal for highly technical projects. His approach? A balance of strong leadership and communication.

CPSM
A healthy dose of serendipity led Melanie from the Peace Corps third world to the A/E/C integrated world, where she discovered a love for working with the people behind the concrete. Nearly 20 years later, she is contributing and receiving ideas and inspiration for marketing, communicating, and developing business as the Director of Marketing + Communications at GLY! A self-described thinker, linker, and obstacle shrinker, Melanie likes to approach her work with these three questions: Who is our audience? What do they need? How can we reach them and develop trust?

A Northwest native who embodies every aspect of GLY’s collaborative, community-centered approach, Bryan provides leadership on projects in the heart of thriving residential, educational, and corporate campuses that are fully occupied during construction. His unique skills, personality, and temperament make him ideally suited to work within occupied settings to safely and expediently deliver new construction nestled in with renovated spaces. When he’s not building with Legos under his two young sons’ supervision, you can find him chasing a black and white ball around a field.

A principal and shareholder of the firm, Jim serves as GLY’s healthcare and biomedical construction specialist. He’s built projects large and small for nearly every major healthcare provider in the region, and is deeply involved in providing leadership to clients and projects. Jim implements Integrated Project Delivery [IPD], Lean approaches, and Prefabrication to help project teams create the best outcomes, and support GLY’s commitment to continuous operational improvement.

Kyle joined the GLY team immediately after earning a BS in Construction Management from the University of Washington in 2006. His honesty and affability have been a mainstay, and he takes a forthright approach to resolving issues and ensuring client satisfaction. After all these years, he still looks forward the unique challenges that come with each individual project and appreciates that no two days are ever alike. While things keep him on his toes at the jobsite, Kyle unwinds by listening to his favorite CDs and records or going to live concerts. Music just sounds better when it’s an experience!
