Garrick’s career at GLY has mirrored the growth of the tech industry. You could say South Lake Union has become his second home—he’s helped manage multiple phases of the growing Amazon.com campus. Bringing an intellectual approach to leadership, Garrick is known for his dedication to pushing on tired conventions of the industry, collaborating with others to create new ways to improve efficiency, eliminate waste, and reduce cost. A Northwest Native, he’s involved in several local community and professional organizations, and never misses an opportunity for an outdoor adventure, exploring mountains with his wife, two daughters, and son.

Joaquin approaches each day on the jobsite with a people-first attitude, emphasizing the importance of a collaborative team culture in finding efficient solutions and creating a learning environment for everyone. One of his favorite aspects of construction is that he leaves each workday having learned something new from his teammates. When he’s not out in the field, you can find Joaquin adventuring in the PNW with his 5 kids.

Andrea earned a BS in Mechanical Engineering from Drexel University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania before heading west. Prior to joining GLY in 2020, she spent 12 years managing projects for Seattle’s leading healthcare providers, which continues to be her focus. A strong dedication to understanding client goals is paramount in Andrea’s approach to her role; this approach is what makes Andrea well-known for her time management, integrity, and discipline—qualities she also brings home with her as she coaches CrossFit and raises two busy children.

Steve feels at home with just about everyone. In his view, working with field crews, subs, engineers, architects, clients and “our first-class teams” makes each day unique. His 25+ years with GLY encompasses a wide range of market sectors, from fast-paced, ground-up construction of new office buildings to roadway and utility projects, garage structures, and challenging phased renovation work for educational facilities. He delivers predictable results every time and cultivates a strong team atmosphere focused on quality and superb customer service. Besides loving his job, he’s an inspiring volunteer, mentor, football fan, outdoorsman and family man.

Joe embodies a team player, believing that “a successful project is not achieved by a sole individual.” He consistently acts as the glue that adheres the various entities coordinating a project to one another, supporting the successful delivery of a high-quality product. Joe’s perspective that client expectations are a baseline to surpass, is a product of his competitive spirit.
Project Engineer
Mohammed’s building career began in the United Arab Emirates where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from the American University of Sharjah. He worked on several projects in the area ranging between mixed use, commercial and infrastructure sectors. Mohammed is an intrinsically detail-oriented team-player, and always emphasizes proactive planning on his projects. He exercises these same skills on the field while playing his favorite sport: soccer!
Principal+Senior Project Manager
A principal and shareholder of the firm, Jim serves as GLY’s healthcare and biomedical construction specialist. Much of Jim’s career has focused on developing the innovative practices that stay ahead of trends in healthcare design and construction. He’s built projects large and small for nearly every major healthcare provider in the region, and is deeply involved in providing leadership to clients and projects. Jim implements Integrated Project Delivery [IPD], Lean approaches, and Prefabrication to help project teams create the best outcomes, and support GLY’s commitment to continuous operational improvement. He is currently engaged in a major campus expansion for Seattle Cancer Care Alliance in South Lake Union.
Senior Project Manager
With GLY since 1999, Amy has managed projects in all sectors and of all sizes. This versatility is what helps her guide teams in keeping the end goal in mind while addressing day-to-day challenges and complex problem-solving. She is an alumnus of the University of Washington with a BS in Construction Management and Minor in Architecture, has served on the board of her local YMCA, and is active in NAIOP and CREW. After work, Amy chases two very active children and the lifelong task of home remodeling.
