The refreshed Tateuchi East Asia Library welcomes students inside with its new, highly visible glass storefront and warm, inviting sitting and reading area. Students can also enjoy a new community room for group studying and meetings.

The library showcases impressive millwork finishes, spanning across the information desk, wall covering at the entrance, and exhibit cases that house special collections and historical pieces. Additional scope of work includes mechanical, lighting, and flooring upgrades, and extensive masonry cleaning around the windows throughout the space.

As the UW secures additional funding, the library will undergo two more phases of renovations.
