Google held an official opening ceremony for its first block in South Lake Union on October 3, 2019. The new offices have private alcoves and mixing spaces, along with mini kitchens and break areas for recharging or conferencing. The middle-block offices will open later this month.

Google opened the first of five buildings on its new South Lake Union campus on Thursday. Features include underground parking, housing on the upper floors, street-level retail, restaurants, and other services.
