Construction Status

• Construction Hours:  6:00 AM - 3:00 PM
• Construction Activities:
  • Delivery of a construction trailer / jobsite office to the east end of NE Grant Lane.
  • Installation of jobsite perimeter fencing and scaffolded pedestrian protection.
  • Placement of tree protection fencing around the trees directly adjacent to the 1925
  and 1935 portions of Suzzallo Library.
  • Placement of wood-chip and plywood soil protection in the landscape areas where
  scaffolding will be erected and where construction personnel will be circulating.
  • Selective tree branch trimming as required for scaffold erection.
  • Selective removal of brick pavers and saw-cutting of the underlying concrete slab at
  the south end of the 1925 Terrace to provide access for construction personnel and
  equipment to the Terrace crawlspace.
  • Excavation of soil and debris from the crawlspace utilizing a soil conveyor and dump trucks.
• Project Milestones: 
  • June 9: Jobsite Office will be delivered on Grant Lane and placed from 6-7am.
  • June 9-10: Build-out and electrical hookup of Jobsite Office. 6am-3pm.
  • June 14-15: Commencement Weekend (No Work)
  • June 16: Start of Construction with the following activities:
     - Protection fencing placement
     - Jobsite Signage installation
     - Tree Pruning
     - Soil protection placement
     - 1925 Terrace excavation
