UPS Commencement Walk | Tacoma

A grand promenade of imported Chinese granite was built as the centerpiece of the University of Puget Sound campus, creating a central walkway through the heart of campus. The project includes 1,600 linear feet of 12’-wide paved walkway and 1,200 linear feet of decorative concrete walkway, with associated electrical and landscaping improvements. A new “Event Lawn” is banked with custom radius concrete walls and a custom radius brick wall; and meeting places, reflection stops and an amphitheater are destinations around the path. Scope included demolition and rebuilding of entryways and concrete walkways into several existing buildings on campus. All work took place while the campus was open and functioning.
