Microsoft B44 WPA | Redmond
At 143,000 square feet, B44 is the second largest single building Work Place Advantage [WPA] project to date. A complete three-story interior demolition made room for 52 “neighborhoods,” which include open meeting spaces, focus rooms and team rooms. Each neighborhood has its own unique geometry and connects to adjacent neighborhoods with garage doors for ultimate flexibility.
A 35-foot living wall in the lobby makes for a dramatic entry, along with interactive artwork throughout. The project required concrete slab removal and installation of an extra steel support to accommodate a three-story spiral helix stair. GLY implemented Lean processes including pull planning scheduling and off-site MEP prefabrication to meet a compressed schedule.
