Microsoft B4 WPA 2.0 | Redmond
Microsoft’s Workplace Advantage [WPA] program is designed to identify and meet the unique needs of its businesses through appropriately designed and equipped work environments. Having built the pilot WPA project, GLY was a natural choice to help develop a 2.0 version.
Building 4 on Microsoft’s original 1986 campus is two stories with 29,600 square feet per floor, and a single level of underground parking. GLY demolished and fit-out the space into an open layout with town hall, library and a renovated cafe. The result ultimately allowed Microsoft to achieve a 30% increase in headcount capacity while also increasing the collaboration space.
