Microsoft B121 WPA 2.0 | Redmond
After positive feedback on previous WPA tenant improvements and accumulation of lessons learned on those projects, GLY renovated the third floor of Building 121. All 65,000 square feet of existing private offices were removed and replaced with open workstations and a large number of collaborative spaces. Architectural features consist of open ceilings above the workstations, linear wood ceilings, floor-to-ceiling writeable glass room dividers, and a central gathering area known as the HUB that also serves to separate work groups into neighborhoods defined by color. GLY partnered in proactive ways with the design team and Microsoft’s construction manager to enhance the design process and budgeting accuracy for this project. All adjacent spaces within the building remained open and fully accessible throughout the entire course of construction.
