Bellevue Square Renovation | Bellevue
The phased renovation of Bellevue Square occurred over the entire footprint of the mall. Staging was phased and flexible, due to ever present traffic and surrounding urban congestion. Along with coordinating daily and nightly construction management, the GLY team acknowledged the business priorities of tenants and closely communicated with them throughout the construction process. As a result, the renovation was completed without a single store closure.
The overall scope included a new grand Center Court staircase, ceiling and light fixture renovations; the addition of a large Kid’s Court play area, and two new state-of-the-art elevators; the removal of a historical clock inside the center to an outside location with a new glazed tower base; and a redesign and replacement of all guard rails. There were significant upgrades to finishes and flooring as well. Floor tiles were replaced with stone tiles imported from around the world for a dramatic and elegant foundation that tied the entire 158,000 square foot project together.
