VDC played a prominent role during preconstruction of this second-generation, Class-A office build-out in the downtown Seattle financial district. Modeling and visualization tools allowed the project team to quickly confirm the client’s programming with space configurations and system requirements up front – including a desired increase in ceiling height – and then fully coordinate the resulting design for structural and MEP upgrades.

 

Following initial demolition, construction crews worked two full shifts in order to turn over the new space in phases. The tenant now occupies eight floors, using the 11th floor as main reception and training space. Occupants benefit from new building restrooms and outside air louvers on each floor that deliver additional cooling. An employee café with Truck Stop theme is also included on the first floor.
