Learning+Development Manager
It’s no surprise that Karen works in learning and development. She’s always had a passion for people, education, and understanding our complexities as individuals. You might be surprised to learn that English is her third language. As GLY’s Learning + Development Manager, she works on projects that bring teams together across all facets of the organization. She is also engaged in equity work at GLY and in our surrounding community. She holds twin Bachelors degrees in Biology and in Forensic Science, and a Masters in Nutrition. Karen enjoys spending time outdoors hiking, cycling, boating … and trying to outrun mosquitoes.
Accounting Manager
Chris leads GLY’s Accounting department with an enthusiasm for a supportive and tight-knit team culture. He views accounting as a new puzzle to solve each day and enjoys working through the challenges that accompany them. In his spare time, you can find Chris continuing to exercise his mind while reading, writing, and playing board games and video games.

Superintendent
David’s craft roots run deep, stemming from his start as a self-employed residential framer. From that foundation, he built a resume of over 30 years’ experience working with a wide range of materials and methods in a variety of market sectors – mastering the role of Superintendent along the way. After all these years, he still enjoys heading to the jobsite, troubleshooting with the team, and mentoring the next generation of field leaders. His devotion to construction is exceeded only by his love for family … and softball, which he plans on playing until he exceeds the maximum age limit.

Steven was on the move for much of his childhood. Born in Germany and raised in Texas, Colorado, Wyoming, and Washington, Steven learned to embrace new environments early on. He now thrives on meeting new people, leveraging the diversity among various backgrounds, and working together to find solutions. Steven earned a BS in Construction Management from Washington State University and now looks for opportunities to mentor college and high school students interested in a similar educational and career path. When the sun breaks through, he hops on his bike, works in the yard, plays football, and tries to improve his golf game.
