upon what we learn.

Walking the talk. Renovating our new Bellevue headquarters gave us the opportunity to incorporate our own ideas on natural light, materials and energy efficiency. In a highly enjoyable collaborative effort with NBBJ, Columbia-Pacific Management, Kidder Mathews, McKinstry and Valley Electric, we achieved LEED Gold CI.

a legacy of firsts. GLY has been building sustainable projects since 1996, beginning with REI’s flagship store in downtown Seattle prior to the development of LEED standards. Since then, we’ve built many LEED projects, ground-ups to interiors, and a number of them have been firsts.

  • South Lake Union’s Westlake/Terry Building is Seattle’s first privately developed LEED Gold building.
  • Bertschi School gymnasium and art addition is the first private school LEED Gold project in the region.
  • Timber Ridge at Talus is the nation’s first Continuing Care Retirement Community to receive LEED certification.
  • Group Health’s new Puyallup Medical Center is the first project in the nation certified under LEED 2009 for Healthcare, achieving LEED-HC Gold.
