Interiors | Special Projects has successfully expanded into ground-up projects, including site development and shell-and-core construction.
Our projects in this arena range from mixed-use buildings to mid-size retail centers with multiple storefronts, and often utilize tilt-up concrete structures to allow for flexibility in the interior build-out of
tenant spaces.

ISP excels in state-of-the-art, custom-designed medical office spaces, including those with specialized needs for sensitive diagnostic and treatment equipment, such as cancer centers utilizing radiation therapy and other oncology protocols.

Our projects in major developments often involve phased work in tight, occupied urban settings. Scope of work may consist of upgrades to surrounding retail spaces, common areas and streetscapes, including landscaping and elegant interior finishing details; or incorporate improvements to structural systems, including seismic upgrades.

A typical retail project involves off-hours demolition of existing store spaces, followed by renovation strategies that are sensitive to surrounding businesses during active business hours. We specialize in building out new interiors, installation of casework and stockroom shelving, as well as updates to electrical, fire protection and HVAC systems.

Transformation of existing spaces with quick turnaround is a staple of the ISP division. Projects vary extensively from demolition and installation of walls, plumbing, mechanical and electrical systems, to complex networks such as telecommunications interfaces or multiple-story office spaces with large-scale mezzanines.
